Product Summary

Chromium is an essential mineral for human health. It works closely with insulin, a hormone produced by the pancreases that is responsible to clear the blood of all three food categories carbohydrates, fats and amino acids.  Most people associate insulin with sugar clearance, but it is equally important to fat and amino acid clearance. When chromium is lacking, the insulin clearing action is impaired, and the levels of sugar, fat and amino acids remain high between meals. High levels of sugar, fat and amino acids for longer periods than is appropriate can eventually impact on long term health.
 
Chromium is used to help improve insulin sensitivity in type 1 and type 2 diabetes, facilitates glucose clearance and may be useful in treating and managing reactive hypoglycemia. Chromium could be useful to reduce obesity and enhance lean body mass and improves total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and HDL cholesterol levels. 
 
CAUTIONS / WARNINGS:

  • Calcium carbonate and antacids decrease the absorption of chromium
  • May exacerbate renal disorders
  • For adult use only; keep out of reach of children

Suggested Usage:

One tablet daily or as recommended by a physician.
