Product Summary

Acidophilus Complex is a blend of beneficial bacterial or “probiotics” that inhabit the intestinal tract. Probiotics offer a wide range of health benefits including immune support, improved energy, and improved nutrient absorption from the intestines and for the maintenance of good health. Probiotic supplements can be used when travelling out of the country to reduce the risk of intestinal upset that might be caused by water or food-borne pathogens. Probiotics can be used concurrently with antibiotic therapy, to replenish and maintain healthy intestinal flora.
 
Holista Acidophilus Complex is formulated with inulin-FOS, a water-soluble fructose polymer that is indigestible by humans, but feeds the probiotic bacteria enhancing “good” bacteria growth. Acidophilus Complex is enteric coated, so that the active bacterial cells reach the intestine and are not damaged by stomach acids. This product may be used by youth, adults and seniors for the promotion of general health of the intestinal tract.
 
CAUTIONS / WARNINGS:

  • Probiotic supplements should be taken as directed on the label or by a health care professional
  • Supplements should not be used to self-medicate conditions that should be managed by a physician, including intestinal pain or blood in the stool
  • For maximum potency, refrigerate after opening

Suggested Usage:

One capsule taken every 4-6 hours, up to three capsules per day or as recommended by a physician.

Medicinal ingredients: 4 billion active cells* of specially cultured strains of Lactobacillus rhamnosus 3.2 billion cfu, Lactobacillus acidophilus 0.4 billion cfu, Bifidobacterium longum 0.2 billion cfu, Bifidobacterium bifidum 0.2 billion cfu and fructooligosaccharides (FOS) 200 mg. *Guaranteed 4 billion active cells at time of manufacture.

Non-medicinal ingredients: Maltodextrin, gelatin capsule (gelatin, purified water), enteric coating, magnesium stearate, ascorbic acid.

Contains no artificial preservatives, colours or flavours; wheat or yeast.
